Fascinating Brand Stories | The Cola Wars (Coke vs. Pepsi)

The nature of every commercial product and service, is the existence of a competitor. And for every industry, the dynamics of the two main rivals, that command 1st and 2nd market share, are always the most fascinating to watch.

Among the most closely followed are the Cola Wars, between arch-rivals, Coca Cola (Coke) and Pepsi.

Pepsi’s newest logo make-over may have cost it millions in 2008, but the jury is still out on its effectiveness. Pepsi has also changed its brand logo the most, while Coke has remained almost the same, since its founding in 1885. And we all know who the market leader is across the world. Indeed consistency has its rewards!
