How we saw 2010, via our Google searches

You wouldn’t immediately think that how and what you search on the internet has any impact on how we see the world, but our collective search (I stress the word again – COLLECTIVE – as in billions of people searching on Google….!!!!) shows a fascinating insight into what interests us, mankind. Opening the year with Haiti Earthquake, Pakistan Floods, China Earthquake disasters to closing the year with Mount Merapi volcano eruption in Central Java and the Chilean Miners Rescue. And of course who could forget about other challenges, ie. ongoing global recession, problem areas like Greece, Ireland, Thailand, BP Oil Spill, and Justin Beiber‘s rise to fame! And of course the volcano eruption in Iceland that no one could pronounce (Eyjafjallajökull)

Yeah, I know it all seems so random. But it’s what we searched for via Google, throughout 2010. Here’s the proof. Enjoy!
